Facebook killer with 3 million downloads! The new social network 'Vero'

It seems as if someone was listening to all our whines about Facebook, the Restrictive Instagram algorithm and pro-advertiser nature of social media websites which left us with nothing but too much of clutter on our news feed. While still being at beta stage this app called Vero has so much to offer that it has already crossed 3 million sign-ups!

Vero being Italian word for truth, in its manifesto encourages people to be more authentic online and proudly states that user and not advertiser are our true customers. Promising a clean and user friendly social networking. Here are some feature that truly makes this app stand out!

·         Completely Chronological Feed: This makes ‘time of posting’ a key factor when it comes to the discover-ability of content. The most appreciated feature of Vero is said to be this, as it gives no chance for algorithms, curation or Ads to decide which posts should show up in your feed first. This means you get true unfiltered social media!

·         NO link in bio: With Vero posts could be anything, an Image, a text write-up, a link or you can review a book, film music that fascinates you.

·         More than Just Friends and followers: Vero lets you segregate your follower, into an acquaintance, friend or a close friend. Allowing you to share content more specifically with much more privacy.

·         Ad Free Feeds: As we mentioned earlier, Vero is totally for its users, and is strongly against data mining and advertising which its manifesto proudly clarifies making it less commercial and more social.

·         Do more: Yes, if scrolling through endless feeds bores you out, Vero has something more for you, you can shop & discover new music all within the app.

Is it free? Well currently it is! But we don’t know how longer it would be. Initially folks at Vero promised free lifetime subscription to first million users, now they have extended this until further notice. With no ads and ever-growing user base they are planning to charge people with an amount as minimum as you pay for a cup of coffee.

Should we bother to join? Technically speaking you would end up with one more social media account to handle, But who knows your favourite artist, singer, writer or band switches over to Vero? So we better leave it upto you..
